I think I've finally found a theme that I'm happy with, so I'm going to spend the next few days adding content. I've created this site so I can host my photos, with the intent of maybe selling a few to cover my traveling expenses. I'm also going to use it as a convenient place to post the nonsense I generate that doesn't make it onto facebook or twitter - you lucky lucky people! So yeah, that's it.

They say there is a difference between photos of something and photos about something.  Who they are I do not know, nor do I care, but surely every photograph taken can only be truly understood by the person holding the camera and pressing the button? Do photos need to be understood to be appreciated?  I’m not sure how many photos I’ve seen in my life that I’ve enjoyed, but I doubt that I truly empathised or deeply understood the owner’s motives for taking the photo at that precise moment in time.
